I had been so busy with my GATE preparations that I had to write some code to clear my head. Also my GitHub contributions graph has started looking so bleak lately. So, I started working on one of my old steganography project. It is hardly ground-breaking. It is the implementation of the age old LSB Steganography in images with Python and Pillow. For people who do not have a clue of what I am talking about, LSB Steganography is the method of encoding data in the least significant bits of the images so that, there is minimal or no significant change in the image when looked at with the naked eye.

Week 1 - Breaking Two Time Pad

AKLS As I mentioned earlier, I am learning about stream ciphers in the first week of my Cryptography course in Coursera. It is really good and I encourage anyone who is interested in mathematics to take it up. Trust me, you are going to fall in love with it. Although I have had quite a few encounters with breaking stream ciphers in CTF events, the academic (especially, the mathematics) side of it, is quite amazing.

Breaking Puzzle of Phi

At last, I have got some free time to put up what I’ve been up to for the past few months. The second round of inCTF ‘14 is over and our team is selected in for the final round. I wouldn’t say it went very well but, that was all I could do alone. I should post a write-up on those challenges too. Hope, it won’t disappear into my always-wanted-to-do list.
